Please Note: Bloom Chiropractic & Wellness is a cash-based practice. I do not accept or bill health insurance, allowing me to focus on personalized care without insurance restrictions. Payment is due at the time of your visit. Superbills are available upon request for patients who wish to submit claims to their insurance independently.

Hi, I’m Dr. Melissa Owen, founder of Bloom Chiropractic & Wellness. I’m so happy you’re here!

One of my favorite parts of being a chiropractor is getting to know my patients. Everyone has a story, and I love taking the time to listen. My goal is for you to leave each visit feeling heard, having a better understanding of your body, and feeling confident about your care.

I have a special passion for caring for pregnant women, babies, children, and families. I am Webster Certified, which means I have completed specialized training in chiropractic care during pregnancy. I am also Craniosacral Therapy Certified and an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.

I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic and also teach Anatomy and Physiology at Ivy Tech Community College. I guess you could say I am a bit of an anatomy nerd! I love helping people understand how their bodies work and empowering them to take an active role in their health.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our spoiled Chihuahua, Layla, getting lost in a good audiobook, and connecting with other providers as a leader of Pediatric Professionals of Northwest Indiana.

I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day, and I would be honored to be part of your health journey. I can’t wait to meet you!
